Marketing & Communications Coordinator
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to become an integral part of our team, as a Temporary Marketing & Communications Coordinator for a 14 month Maternity Leave.
With enthusiasm and a positive attitude, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively with others as well as independently to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency at the firm.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for positioning and promoting the Buckberger Baerg & Partners LLP (BBLLP) brand in Saskatoon and surrounding area through the implementation of the marketing strategy. Reporting to the Director of Operations the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will deliver an annual integrated marketing plan. This plan will include strategies to achieve market positioning, increase brand awareness, develop strong and lasting relationships with key clients, and support client development and communications in the pursuit of specific project opportunities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing:
- Brand Strategy and Campaigns:
• Assist in the implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
• Design and implement marketing campaigns.
• Research trends and new marketing opportunities; brainstorm ideas. - Content Creation and Management:
• Manage content creation on blogs, social media, and other media.
• Edit written, video, and photo content for social media ads.
• Conception and design of print media from draft to final artwork (brochures, product folders, flyers, advertisements, trade fair displays). - Digital Marketing and Social Media:
• Plan, implement, and monitor BBLLP’s social media strategy.
• Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities and provide monthly reporting on activity and effectiveness. - Marketing Tools and Maintenance:
• Support the maintenance of marketing tools, including the company website, customer relationship management tool, Constant Contact, and any other tools that support marketing.
• Manage and update the ongoing marketing calendar. - Promotional Materials:
• Oversee promotional materials, including inventorying stock, placing orders, and communicating with internal leadership about merchandise. - Communications:
• Responsible for internal communication including maintaining and updating the firm’s intranet site. This includes an annual compliance workflow that ensures all aspects of the site are up to date and functioning.
• Responsible for sending external emails (clients, stakeholders, website sign-ups) to clients at the direction of the Partners.
• Completes the proposal templates for the partners and takes direction as to content.
• Communicating and negotiation with external vendors. - Other:
• Coordinating and producing financial documents for advertising campaigns – including budgets, estimates and contracts.
• Connect with bankers, advisors, lawyers to plan networking events at the direction of the Partners.
• Support the implementation of community investment and sponsorship activity.
• Support the planning and execution of firm functions and meetings, and coordinate staff activities. (Including annual planning and tracking of all events in coordination with the DOO) - Additional Responsibilities
• Perform other duties, from time to time, as requested by partners. - Education and Experience
• Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or communications
• Experience in a professional services firm would be an asset
• Computer skills and knowledge of relevant business applications – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, creative design software – Adobe, Corel, Canva, etc.
• Strong skills and extensive experience using Social Media Platforms and Constant Contact or MailChimp, is an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of CASL rules and requirements
• Graphic Design experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Key Competencies
